• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brakes before my trip

I need to do a brake job before the trip next month. Don't want bad brakes in the mountains :yikes: I can't find any place on line that has Spyder brakes. Whats up with that. I know BRP or my local dealer will rack me over the coals. Like they did buying oil for my spyder. I will use the dealer only as the last resort. :helpsmilie:

Better get prepared for the last resort. The only aftermarket brake pads I am aware of are the ones EBC announced. Unfortunately, according to their reseller, they won't actually be available for several months. I would have installed some this weekend if I could have obtained them.

I'm not sure if it's unreasonable or not but I paid $25 per set of BRP pads from my dealer. $75 total for all new Spyder brake pads. At the time, I was happy to pay it but I never priced motorcycle brake pads before.

I think that's typical...cheaper than BMW pads.

I have just been quoted $450 for a set of the new BRP pads here in Oz :yikes:
