There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had an episode of it beginning on last Nov 5. I took Levaquin 500mg x once per day for 2 weeks. Felt all ok again.
Went to GP for annual checkup on Dec 4th & blood tests were done including PSA test. Result was 6.88 (on the scale we use in Canada) whereas it is normally <1. I have never had a reading anywhere near that before.
So I guess an attack of prostatitis does elevate the PSA reading and it takes more than 3 weeks to return to normal after symptoms have gone. I see doc again on Feb 6 & will ask to have another PSA test.

My symptoms were a combination of a few of the items in the first and second type. I'm scheduled to see a urologist this Monday. All my symptoms were gone by the 1st week in January after being on a prescription drug for a week. I'm going because my primary care physician feels it's prudent to see a specialist at this point because my PSA is still high.

The scale used in my the blood test is labeled as 0.0-4.0 for the reference range. My normal PSA has been around .9 for years. In fact the last reading was .9 before I developed prostatitis a week later, the day before Christmas. When my symptoms dissipated with the first medication, the PSA test came back at 24.3, and a week later, it was 14.9 after a second round using a different medication. It looks like it's going in the correct direction, but my primary care physician feels that I need a second opinion regarding how quickly, and if it will return to normal. So, off to the Urologist I go.
