• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

you would think someone would make a door for the oil filter so you dont have to take off all those parts .make it look like a fuel door.

OIL FILTER DOOR FOR - RT

Funny that you ask this question ..... I recently did my yearly Oil Filter change annnnnnnnnnnnnd I cut a hole in the panel between the filter cap and the outside finish panel ( the one you can see ) So now I only have to remove one panel to get to the filter...... The problem with a Door on the Finish panel is ....it would have to be very large ...... in the panel I cut, I had to make it quite large to get the filter out .... it's angled and somewhat under some plastic frame pieces I didn't want to cut .... So you can take my word for this or see if you can come up with a better way .............annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd Happy New Year ........ Mike

I can tell by the discussion that all the above posts relate to the older design RT. The body was designed for the 998 that was originally under it.

The F3 does not require the removal of any body panels to remove the filter although removal of one panel does make the job easier.

Mike, please post a photo

Mike, please post a photo of your panel with the cutout. I'd seriously considered doing the same thing myself. I'd love to learn from your experience by seeing your cutout.

maybe this would get more valid and helpful comments if it were in the "RT Shop Talk" section?
then all the questions about what bike would not be necessary

you hit the nail on the head, sometimes I see the same or similar answers 2 or 3 three times in a thread for the reason you mentioned
But I also see that when I correspond to people in writing. If I ask 4 questions the response I get usually is to 2. The other 2 must get lost:dontknow:
I wonder if ADHD is even more widespread than we realize? Or are we just becoming lazy?
