• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Adventures at Maggie Valley

HUH !

What are you Venduring Mike, TIRES?
:D

Jack
, Nope - I'm featuring something New and Different ....... .. " Idiot Sticks " but I'm sure you have a BUNCH of those ..:gaah::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: .......... Love,.... Mike :lecturef_smilie:

IMHO I'd skip the Dragon - to many idiots and the Police love the Dragon ...they usually bring a couple of Ticket / Citation Books when they start their shift :yikes: :banghead: ........... and the Rattler is much better imho ..... Mike ....see you there :yes::yes:
My reason for riding the dragon is actually to allow others to experience it. It is one of those roads where, if you own a motorcycle and ride in the area, you should experience it just once to say "I did it". I would rather ride Moonshiner 28 and the Cherohola Skyway, but since all 3 are in the same location, I will probably include them.
As for Rattler (209), we can run up and do them any part of either day. Taking 63 over to Asheville is also nice. But don't forget 215, hwy 80 (Devil's whip), 226A (Diamondback), and the always lovely BRP just to name a few.
I also wanted to do the lower half of 28 and check out some of the waterfalls. I was just there last weekend, and 28 between 74 and Franklin is being paved, so you will need to take it easy. But it will probably be on the list of one of those days. I am just excited about going and getting a chance to experience the area.

LED's

I'm scheduled to attend the Spyder Adventures event in Maggie Valley in October. Attended last year. I understand that there's no sponsored rides going on. Is anyone interested in getting a group of riders together and ride as a group to enjoy the fantastic sites?

What vender will have the best LED headlight and fog lights at Spyder Adventures??

I am pretty familiar with the area, and will be taking a group out each day (thursday through saturday). I will try to post up something here each day. All area welcome to come along. I lead a couple of groups last year. We can do it however you want. Sight seeing, or turn and burn. Either way is fine with me. We will arrive on Wednesday from the Raleigh area, and i will be bringing 4-5 spyders and 1-2 two wheelers. We will be taking the long way there and probably try out the Diamondback, Devil's whip, and the BRP to get there. Possibly check out Mt. Mitchel also.

We still on for group riding Friday and Saturday?

We still on for group riding Friday and Saturday?
I will post up here each day while I am up there (will probably start a new thread). Yes, I go there to ride, and socialize at stops in between. As stated before, the plan will probably be to do the Dragon and Cherohola on Friday, as to avoid the traffic that comes with riding the dragon on Saturdays. Hope you can join us:thumbup:.

I got everything worked out. My wife and I will both be there. Made reservations, but Hearth and Home Inn was booked for Friday and Saturday night. We are staying down the street. I'll text you the details. We are pulling out in the am and should be there tomorrow afternoon. Look forward to riding with you again.

Cindy,
It's official, I'll be there late Thursday night and will be at the rally first thing Friday morning. I am still pondering exactly what to get (fender LEDs, A-arm DRL's, the safety bundle, Vader lights, etc) but maybe you can help me figure out a package that fits in my budget, and possibly installation as well. I was thinking maybe doing the front of the bike this year (DRL's, fender LED's) and the back of the bike next spring.
Looking forward to seeing you,
Eddy

all lights working still traveling

Well all the lights sure make a statement riding down the highway day or night. Our Flag is a big hit and gets a lot of salutes from passing cars.
They do pass us every now and then.

We had fun and have noted dates to stop in next year if possible,
