• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We just got back from the dealer show in Dallas and Joan and I were able to get a hands on demo before the dealers got there and I must say I like what I saw. If you have any questions I'll answer them the best I can. Here's the link to the blog I posted.

Thanks!
I DO have a question about this new display (and features) setup: Will this require that the operator or passenger have a Smartphone to access the features?

The parking brake switch is on the left handlebar controls now..I would like to have seen the turn signals on each side of the handlebars too.

How does the display work in the daylight? Can it be seen ?

I would have like a keyless entry and a remote start. That would have been kind of cool.

Like a hard cover magazine vs a dig copy, I need to know where my keys are and so I can loose them my own.:roflblack: My dad's Ducati has keyless thing and he still reaches for his key or forgets why it won't start or how to start it. It's like me still grabbing for the front brake or shift lever. Some day it won't even be a choice right. Just get on put your thumb print in and go.

I just reread Lamont's review, and he did say that it had a built in GPS. Great news. However, I just got an almost new 2016 RTL, so I'll have to wait several years. Unless ..........they come out with a retrofit dash. That I would buy.

Keyless, thump print, Well time is around the corner , echo, Wilson, sire and other will be on spyder must have's.:yes::yes::yes:

They worked for a long time on a weather proof display that could be seen in bright sunlight. It should be great.

With all due respect, are you familiar with all the issues people are having with the current DESS module ??
I'm thinking simpler is better.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong and if I am, someone here will let me know.

Bob, come on part with a little of that cash and get up to speed here. The world runs on smart phones, we have these things called garage door openers, push a button and the door opens and closes! We run radial tires not bias ply, there is this thing called the Internet that a lot of information for you, there are interstate highways that speed up travel times technology can help you if you let it.
Hopefully you have some kind of flip phone and not the box or bag phone, I will give you the benefit of the doubt on that one.

We upgraded our garage door openers to the ones with MyQ... I absolutely love them... no more needing to turn around after 3 blocks because I can't remember if I put the dang door down...

Bluetooth capable?

I see from the blog pictures that there is a Bluetooth menu and the write ups say it is Bluetooth capable. Will this require additional hardware similar to the current rt line up that requires a separate Bluetooth transmitter or is it ready to go out of the gate? Just pair to my Bluetooth headset and viola!
