It would seem that the Aussie gummint is attempting to make criminals out of a lot of citizens.
Quite a few items on that list don't make much sense. For instance, a crossbow is prohibited, but a vertical of any type bow is not. Some modern compound bows are more powerful and at least as accurate as a recurve crossbow. Knuckle dusters are prohibited. So what? An enterprising person will place a large ring on each finger and accomplish nearly the same results.
