Water tank systems in RV's tend to develop "cooties" over time, even if you are careful on what is going in (pre-filtration), and what is coming out (spigot filtration)...and do yearly chlorine flush cleaning of the system. Thus, the carboys and drinking water bottles I mentioned earlier. P.S. I need to find that "vomit emoji".....cant seem to locate it :clap:

Bob, get a RV surge guard. Many a RV inverter/converter, appliance, ECT has been fried do to a faulty electrical pedestal. Cheap insurance. Not sure if your rig is 50 or 30 amp, but dog bone adapters are a must.

Some CG's have 30 and 50 amp sites, and having a good quality adapter important. Also grab one to reduce your RV plug down to a standard 15 amp household plug for when your home unless you plan on having a RV plug wired up.
won't be able to run the A.C., but you'll have lights, TV and other low draw stuff.

What a flood of great tips.

if your hooked up to external water ( city, camp grounds), don't leave it connected at bed time or when your out. The pressure switch could break and you can have a flood.

The recent thread entitled "Rats" on the Forum reminded me of another Tip. See my response on that thread....it applies in spades for RV's :shocked: :yikes:

But my guess is that I'll need some extra "Helper ramps"; to lessen the attack angles.

i had to make an extension ramp for Mr Toyhauler by getting a 1 in. Aluminum piano hinge to secure a 3/4in. 4ft. Piece of plywood to get the "break over" angle into the RV less so the Spyder doesn't get hung up when I'm loading it.

every one is making this way to hard with the overhang on a motorhome an inch in the front is several in the rear just drive the front on to blocks or your levelers and the rear drops a lot which takes the angle out very quickly due to the ratio difference the front wheels are at the front corner and rear overhang is longer teeter totter effect

have at it people who say this just don't understand the Rv experience there isn't motels in the back country ,no putting everything into a suitcase no checkout time you meet people because they get out and talk to each other not just retire to there rooms you can keep all your gear in your Rv so you just get in and take off and if the motels are all full then you still have a place to sleep and the best part is I hate public restrooms,you can just lumber along at you own pace stop anywhere and make lunch nap if you want sit and relax while the wife is doing something you don't care to partake in (dress shopping yard sale ect) ,you can leave late after work on on a week end drive until you to sleepy then pull over get up and drive while someone else sleeps more ,mine rides like a big limousine,the kids could play video games while I drove I could go on but you get the idea
