• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Post Deletion

Pete,
We both know that we'll never see eye to eye on this topic...

But I'll accept your version of the interpretation: this time! :D

I do understand his place, his rules, but it doesn't cost anything to be polite. Everything you've said I acknowledged in the first post of this thread. If I was rude what I suggest is a way to let me know. I have no objection to the post being deleted if thought to be inappropriate, just in the manner it was done. But if that's the way it is, that's the way it is.

I'm sorry, but you are not looking at this the right way 2Paw... Acknowledging that you understand the 'his place, his rules' bit actually makes your 'offence' to the Forum even worse, cos his rules quite clearly tell you that he ISN'T going to message people in the first instance, & I can understand that approach, given the numbers of posts & members here & the prevalence of trolls & spammers/dodgy posters. Yeah, I know, you might feel offended by that cavalier attitude (now that you've had one deleted) but how rude is it to come on here & enjoy the benefits of his place & his rules for quite a fair while, and then ONLY complain once you step over the line & get pulled up iaw his rules?!? :dontknow: Not only is that being rude to Lamont, but it's arguably being rude to the rest of us as well!

After all, it IS his place, & his rules TELL YOU that if you just step over the line (a little?) then he's simply going to remove the offending post, no message, no acknowledgement, and you have tacitly agreed to that in the past by remaining here & posting here while others have lost posts; and you are even tacitly agreeing to it now by continuing to post here instead of pulling out immediately you felt the brunt of his supposedly offensive rules.... :dontknow: You knew, or at least should've known, about these rules, & you chose to join & post anyway; you let the rules be applied to other people & you enjoyed the benefits of his place, his rules without any concern (while it wasn't you!) cos it meant you could use this relatively trouble free place to share info & thoughts etc about Spyders, all without undue intrusion from all sorts of people ignoring his rules, because he DOES apply & enforce them; but now that it's you who's stepped over the line/on the receiving end of the quite normal application of the already existing rules, it's rude & not right?!? How rude is that to him & to every other user here?!?

Maybe it's just time to take the slap on the wrist with a wet tram ticket for exactly what it was, pull your pants up a bit, & just get on with it, now knowing exactly where the particular line you just stepped over is, and now fully aware that it truly does exist, and it applies to YOU as well as to all those others amongst us who lose posts for minor transgressions, & especially those who get tossed for the major transgressions - the enforcement of those rules being the very reason we ALL can enjoy & continue to enjoy this Forum?! :dontknow:

2Paw,

Just as an aside, It's not just pictures of naked bottoms that get pulled. They can be pulled or thread deleted even if the bottom is clothed. All it takes is one person to let Lamont, or the secret shopper know that they are offended. And, by the way, I find sermonizing very offensive, unless it's done in person. I think I wasted time with the post b/c I'm on your ignore list.

When I said sermonizing, it was those sermonizing to you.

I suppose that the Hiney in question needs to be put into the proper context:

You are not on my ignore list, because I do not have one. I had my say, it won't change anything, and I can accept that (I already said that). There is one poster in this thread that may need to find themselves a place to start a Church however. I will say this one last time, I apparently broke the rules, my post got deleted. Okay, I can live with that. IMO it is still rude not to tell someone their post was deleted and why (even if it is in the rules). I can live with that too.

If anyone else feels the need to preach, just stand in front of your mirror and do it, because I to find it offensive. Don't do it in my thread. I do live in the USA and so far I am still entitled to my own stupid or not opinions.

For what it's worth: I liked the picture...
