Helmet Style

Mine is a Shoei Neotec modular. Wife's is a Schuberth C3 Pro modular. Both of us wear glasses and modular make it easier other wise would likely be full face.

Most important I think is getting what fits you best and the best you can afford. Every helmet maker makes them a little different in shape. Really can't over emphasize how important it is to wear it long enough in store to make sure it fits you properly and comfort does not mean too loose as they loosen up a little with time and wear.

Some time ago one of the helmet manufacturers created a model featuring graphics dividing the helmet into sections that indicated the percentage of times each section suffered significant damaged in a large sampling of accidents. The left and right chin areas accounted for something like 37%. .

Okay this is kind of a pointlesss question. What style of helmet dose everyone wear, full face, half, open face, etc?

I have 2 LS2 modular helmets, a FF386 for cooler weather and a Metro for warmer weather because of the increased airflow of this one makes it much better for hot weather.:yes::yes:

I have a Scorpion AT 950 Modular helmet for cooler weather, and a Bell Pit Boss half helmet for warmer weather. Love them both. If you go full face go modular.

I've had an HJC half helmet for a number of years and have just switched to the Sena Cavalry half helmet. I've tried both full face as well as modular and just don't like them. Depending on weather and temperature/humidity either one would fog up my glasses. jmho wtfdik

Me- Sedici Sistema Modular Full Face. I had an HJC modular that I really liked, but wore it out... I like the enclosure and safety of full face, but LOVE being able to open the face for a drink or bit of breeze at the stoplights. You can also go into a convenience store without taking off your helmet!

Mine is a HJC IS-MAX 11, which is a flip front design with a sun shade built in and it fits nicely and is really comfortable :thumbup:​

Lots of options out there. Best advice is to try them on locally to find out what fits best for you. Proper fit is most important if the need arises to use it for the intended purpose. Once you have the size, then you can shop for best price if your local dealer is way off.

I have gone from "full face" to "modular" these days. The "safety" factor is a choice we all must make for ourselves.

Linda cannot go for the claustrophobic full face stuff--so it was a done deal to go modular for her.

We have six assorted Nolan's currently. See Baja Ron, a vendor on SL. :thumbup:

Shoei Neotec modular helmet with sun shield is what I use. I like having the option to lift the front up in slow traffic:doorag:

The flip-down sun shield is priceless. Comfortable, quiet.
Mine is Hi-Viz yellow (go ahead; call me a geek next time you SEE me)
