• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bersquack (Matthew) just stopped by here on his way from Milwaukee to Montreal. It was great meeting yet another SpyderLover in person! Had a nice chat, showed him the collection, and did the mandatory photo on the tricycle thing. Even had a visiting contractor stop in the driveway to ask questions about the Spyders. You can't get away, even at home. :D My only regret, as usual, was that yet another visitor couldn't stay longer.

My mother always said I was socially deficient nojoke, but I have had more SpyderLovers here than any other company, including family, in the last ten years altogether. Keep it up, you'll make a human out of me yet! Always a pleasure to host a visit. SpyderLovers are the best group of people I have ever been associated with in my life.

Scotty, we enjoy visiting you and Nancy. You are part of the reason that SpyderLovers are the best group of people.

you must have a museum there! There is a guy up here where we ride and he owns a restaurant called the Toymaker Cafe - He has a barn filled with old triumphs. His restaurant is filled w/ Triumph stuff.

Yep, Spyderlovers are the best.

Just goes to prove......one man's junkyard is another's museum. :D Love Triumphs, have owned a dozen or better in my lifetime. I'd love to see that place!

Looks like I need to make another visit. I learned the history and legend of the motor trike, but missed the photo op.
Yep, that was a carefully crafted plan to get you to come back. :D Actually I forgot, since up to that time Deb had taken all the pictures. I owe you one. Maybe I'll just have to load the tricycle in the truck and come over your way. That way the grandsons can get pictures, too.......and I will guarantee your pictures (and Deb's, and Jen's, and almost anyone elses) are better than mine. Dudley has the best pose so far, though. See KJen's album.

Holy cow!!! It's a small world...

When I read your post, I thought "I rode the train with a guy for years to/from NYC who left to open his own place, just as you described"... his name is Greg Bidou. I never knew the name of his place, until I read your post.

Here's some trivia... His wife Annie was an extra in the Howard Stern movie. She was the woman outside the recording studio, looking in (in horror) during the sausage scene.

If you get up there again before I can, tell him Wayne from the bar car (and Sun Microsystems) says hello!

Would be great to see him. Last time was at a BBQ at his house several years ago. He made an awesome beef brisket too.

We'll be in your city this coming Oct -- 21st to 25th.... Wife is attending a convention at the McCamly Plaza hotel. Not bringing the :spyder2:, however. Need to carry too much 'stuff' besides a change of clothes:roflblack:.
Hope all of us can get together........

We should be here, the good Lord willing. PM me to remind me when it gets closer, and I'll give you our contact information. Maybe you can help mothball the bikes, that late in the season. Wear your work clothes. :joke:

Yep - that's him - heard that he used to work in NY and then left the career for the peace and calm of Falls Village, CT - it is so nice there! Very cool trivia about his wife!

With enough notice, maybe I can get a babysitter and Lisa could join us. She loves the ride.
