So where is everyone staying for Gatlinburg?

We're psyched - going to make it to Gatlinburg. Just reserved Red Roof Inn - anyone else staying there?

With you and Hdx remember I'm the son you never wanted.Just made a reservation at Redroof Pat still has to check at work but is on vacation next to weeks and can't check until she gets back there hyea:

I think the Red Roof Inn owe me a commission or royalty check for finding them for last year's event. Hmmm. Oh well, you all should really enjoy the stay there, very close to the Smoky Mt. Nat. Park and everything else. We can't even get there until Thurs. for Lamont's BBQ so that is where we will be starting. Hope to meet everyone there. It doesn't look like we will even make it into Gatlinburg. Not sure about the Friday BBQ yet or if we are leaving on Friday or Sat morn. Only time and money will tell.

We might ride out on the 21st now but go halfway to TN that day. Not sure yet.

Been planning a trip with others 9/26 to 9/29 to ride smokies. Should I be moving date ? would like to include a spyder ride with others and a BBQ sounds cool too. The Rally is Sept. 21-25. Most of us will be home or heading home by the 26th. I believe Lamont's barbeque is Thursday, Sept. 24.

It's a Spyder Rally, but everyone is welcome. Last year, we had people in cars and on motorcycles (including me) attend as well as Spyders.

I'm going with a buddy of mine, he'll be on his 2001 Valkyrie (has over 100K miles on it.) Unfortunately, we can't get coverage for the kids sooooo spouses aren't coming.

We're thinking the same. Leave early on Monday and split the ride. Not sure yet where we'll stop on the first day; depends on weather, traffic, etc.

We should trade #'s in PM so you and HDXBONES can keep in touch with us and vice versa. Plan is to arrive Tuesday early afternoon, ride Deals Gap Wednesday and head out to the BBQ at Lamont's on Thursday (if it's on) then head home sometime Friday afternoon.
