• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 ST Limited ... Brake lights stay on when turning key off

2014 ST Limited. Brake lights stay on after turning the key off. Concern is that the brake lights stay on while driving, providing incorrect visual information to drivers (cars and/or bikes) behind me.

Internet research indicates that there is a BRP Service Bulletin for this malfunctioning brake light SWITCH. Does anybody have a website link for that Service Bulletin?

Spyder is still covered under Warranty, but in case there is obstinance from the Dealer, having a copy of the Service Bulletin would be handy.

Any/all assistance would be appreciated.

Brake Light SWITCH

next time it happens, lift up the brake peddle and see if they go out. if they do, then it is sticking

That is what I have been doing. But there is a Service Bulletin out there .... I saw something about it on this Forum. Unfortunately, at the time, folks didn't/couldn't remember what the web site address was.

Gotta say...

Must not be constant or you would be getting brake failure warnings and going into limp mode. Good advise above to go to the dealer and have them check it out and if need be replace the switch...:gaah:

Dont rely on just one dealer:lecturef_smilie: Call around & one should have the information somewhere
And fyi I've heard my dealer use the term "campaign" more than "bulletin" for issues like this, it may help the service managers remember more:dontknow: :dontknow::roflblack::roflblack::shocked: Give it a try & Good luck

Thanks. Appreciated. However, there is only one dealer here in Manitoba.
The next closest is in Regina, Saskatchewan and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The trip to Regina is 6 hours; the trip to Thunder Bay is 10 hours.

.... sigh .....
:(:(:(:(
