• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just ate something that expired in 2008

RE: Dated food: Went to one of the top 10 Alaska restaurants last night for a 6 yr. since I met Linda celebration.

Ordered the Alaska Rockfish. Yuk! Dried out and VERY fishy tasting. A sure sign of old age. I think they emptied out the freezer from last summer and tried to pawn it off on me. When asked how I liked it, I remarked pretty disappointing.

The waiter came back in a short time and said he agreed with my observations. They ended up taking that off my bill. They got more than 3/4 of the portion back.

Believe it or not, there is a site especially for people like you (and especially like me) that like to take a chance on old food. It is called stilltasty.com. They will tell you how long certain items are good for after the expiration date.
