There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Damn Rain

Have the Keys and paperwork for the new RTL, but will have to go back tonight or tomorrow when the rain lets up. Not opposed to riding in the rain but it is a 2 hr ride and as this will be the first ride other than a test ride I figured it would be safer to ride when I can concentrate without the rain beating my a**

Great weather here in Missouri and Kansas a week after Spyderfest. Have ridden 3000 miles since the first of February. Going to Cassoday, KS tomorrow.

Thanks all

Thanks all for the congrats! You all have had a hand in my decision one way or another. I have taken all I have read and learned and put it to the test. The rain has stopped and looks like tomorrow will be nice, will go pick it up tomorrow and update how my first ride (other than the test ride I did last year ago) goes, I'll have about two hours to figure it all out on the way home. Thank for all the information this provides. (PICS WILL FOLLOW)

Congrats on new ride! What part of Maryland are you located? Where are you picking it up from, if you don't mind me asking? I can ride with you to pick it up if you want company for the ride home.

:congrats:Be safe on your first ride. You have plenty of time to ride in the rain once you are comfortable with your new :spyder2:. Be sure to read the do's and don'ts for your new ride.

How are the roads and bridges in MO???? Got my fingers crossed that the MOGANG will plan Spyderfest 2018 in the WARM & DRY time of year. I'm tired of the COLD & WET.
I/We NEVER choose to begin a ride "electively" in the rain. Can totally understand while you are waiting for blue skies and sunshine.

I hate riding in rain. Very wise to wait. I am not opposed to riding in rain IF there is an emergency type situation , I just hate the clean up after the ride, takes several hours to get the dirt and grime from the rain out of every nook and cranny. I did 800 miles last weekend and it was 100 degrees + with no clouds and it still took a good 2 hours to clean the bike.

Good luck, hope you enjoy the ride and the bike.

Down south and over around the St. Louis metro are still having some water issues. Interstates 44 and 55 are back open. I am outside of Kansas City and our ground is really dry again. We are supposed to get rain Wednesday and Thursday. It shouldn't be enough to do any flooding.
The past weekend, if not for all flooding would have been great for Spyderfest. Unfortunately, MOGANG can change the dates and Mother Nature will change her dates.
