From what the TSB is saying, I'm going to venture a guess that some of the seams on the fuel filters are leaking. Think I will buy one from CCP for $16 for the '17 Daytona and just go ahead and change it out on the Daytona. Just my way of being proactive.

As for the concerns about identifying if your Spyder is affected by the campaign, the VIN tool on the website is only for safety recalls at the moment, not warranty bulletins. However, we`re looking at ways to share more information (such as VIN range) with the public moving forward. You should never be reluctant to call your dealer, they`re there to help you.

Mow, THAT is a thought! A good possibility. It sounds like they had a run of them that weren't right. I *think* that it would be the same part number, but a sublot number that only BRP is privy to. Otherwise, how can they tell what byke is effected and which is not. Bet they changed manufacturers and found they were substandard after the fact. We'll probably know the full story.

The filter maybe the same part number by BRP but the date code or manufacturer number/production code is most likely what they will go by

The fuel filter is the same part number for a good or bad one. Walbro has been the supplier for Spyder fuel filters from the beginning. It looks like they had a bad day. Check the Warranty Bulletin again. It's not a part number to look for, it is a date code. Filters made on that day are the suspect ones.

PS If I am reading the date code correctly. That would be January 30, 2017. For those wondering that's a Monday.
