who's third brake light?

The HMT from custom dynamics is great. You see it best.

Make sure you do not have to return it. When I traded my 13 for a 14 I had the dealer swap some things from the 13 to the 14. When I picked it up low and behold they had swapped out the HMT brake light also which I did not request. I had already ordered the new light for the 14.
When I returned it ($348) I noticed my refund was $60 short. When I called they informed me that a 15% restock fee was charged, the original free shipping was deducted plus it cost $11.95 to ship it back. Total cost to return was $71.98. Just a heads up. Yes after digging around on their site it did say 15% restock. I wish they would have reminded me of this when I returned it. I could have discounted it and sold it to someone on this site.
I do really like the product but still have not digested $71.98 to return a $348 product. Part of this is my fault for not reading the fine print. Custom Dynamics failed to mention this nor was it on the return label or instructions.

When you start the installation process; getting to the wiring connections can be... a test of your patience! :shocked:
Some folks have found it easier to remove the tailpiece and left taillight from the bike.
We followed the instructions, and found them to be workable.
The trick is that the OEM wiring loom is buried pretty deep in the bike, and there's not a lot of slack in it...
The Missus was able to get a "U-Shaped" coat hanger around the back of the plug that you need to work with, and it made it possible to unplug it, add the new wiring harness that comes with the lights, and then get everything plugged back together as planned. :thumbup:
If you need any help with installation; put up a flare!

The Custom Dynamics HMT light will fit on all RT years. The trunk lid has not changed.

I have been looking for lights -- I like the CD's I wish the pictures for the Tricleds were better with some more information (half price is great) --

from triced i ordered all the rear lights for the bike, i love the 3rd and forth and circle emblem lights but the top light is just a little too small for my liking. i am not bad mouthing them, they make a quality product and Reggi is a great person to deal with. when i installed the light it fits in the middle of the space for the top light. to my taste it is a lil too small for that spot BUT the frame of it is BLACK and just doesn't fit my taste. i call Reggi to make a suggestion about making the trim a chrome color and he listened to me and took the time to explain to me why they can't do it. it made sense. but i do love the way it looks at night when using the brake

Just got in from the garage. Finished installing the Tricled top light and the 3rd and 4th lights. They all function as Run/Stop lights. Look Great, installed in about 4 hours (I'm slow). The install is not for everyone but not bad. Overall I'm Happy:yes::yes::yes:

Yea, the top light is of a smaller design, but it is bright. Thinking of putting one of those blinker things on it to get the attention of those texting drivers.:shocked:

The Custom Dynamics light comes in two flavors, running/brake and running/brake/turn signal. The running light comes with either version.

There is only one catch with the Custom Dynamics installation. It uses a very stick two-sided tape to secure it in place, but you've GOT to get it right the first time. Not hard to do, but important.

The CD high mount light looks factory, is very bright, large, just he right height, and uses safety chrome in the housing. Ya, it costs more---- what is your safety worth???? But any extra lighting in back is better than stock.

I got the running light kit for an extra $20. Looks like it is part of the trunk lid. Adding a $14 flasher from ebay to the brake wires to flash when braking. I know it is $200, but it looks FACTORY and is VERY bright!!
