• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brand New Spyder F3-S Peed In My Driveway

Bought a brand new 2016 F3-S, taking advantage of the rebates. 9 miles on it. Before you say, "congrats", I drove it 30 miles home :riding: turned the key off :ohyea: heard a gurgling sound :gaah: and then it sounded like a race horse taking a leak :bdh:

It emptied the right radiator there and now. Guess it's not house broken.

Dealer is the best in the area. Everyone in the place called me that night, up to and including the owner. They sent a trailer out the next morning and picked it up and gave me a 2017 Limited demo as a loaner. More to follow.

DOUBLE YIKES!!! :yikes: :yikes: AND THEN.....:barf:

Yikes...!!

Nice she waited till you were home...would have been ugly out there:yikes: does sound like a hose let loose..:banghead::banghead: you seem to have a good dealer who wants to make it right.

Well, that was an interesting experience. Was getting ready to jump on the dealer for poor set up. But it looks like they are trying to resolve the issue. Let us know when all is well with the "puppy."

Related. I picked up a zero miles 2016 F3T. On its maiden voyage April 14th, I did ride with a coupla Harleys. By the time I got home from a 90 mile round trip, my right leg was covered in oil mist and she left a goodly amount of oil on the garage floor. Rode again the next day a few miles, but every time I parked there were three patches left in a right angle pattern. Took it back and they determined that the oil cooler was defective. I was without my new bike for 10 days waiting on a shipment (which I thought should have been over-nighted). I took delivery two days after the part arrived but it would still leave the drop pattern for about 5 days then it stopped. I figured leftover oil on the motor. But, took a seven hour ride on that Sunday the 23rd and it had left oil on the exhaust with a companion stink. Took it back and they gave it a good wash up under. Seems to have fixed it. No more spots.

Count your blessings. I did not get a loaner but the weather was unsuitable for most of the 10 days so I didn't request one. The subsequent wash took only 30 minutes so .... love this thing! Been busy with it for awhile putting on fog lights and more.

Will post about my own designs for GPS mount, fog lights and more once I get it written up.

So, finally sussed out the issues. The service tech pressurized the system and it puked radiator fluid out of the top of the reservoir. He replaced the overflow tank and the cap... same thing. He stepped back, took another look and realized the hoses were backwards on the tank (top and bottom). Must be mine got assembled on a Friday! :banghead:

He had to order new clamps for the hoses and put the original tank back on--clamps will be in Monday and he'll pressurize again to check, then do a road test and get it up to temps. They pulled the BUDS, and the head temp never got above 215deg F, so I'm fine.

Meanwhile, I've put a couple hundred miles on their demo and been ordering farkles.

Glad it's fixed.

Interesting explanation of the problem. The expansion reservoir tank has only one coolant hose. So it could not be switch at the tank. Could be the tech meant hoses switched at the engine. Even then the hoses look like a different size.
