Doug, I hate to muddy the waters but if you are sensitive to higher-performance additions, the BRP 2-Up Shock is rather crude compared to what is out there like an Elka shock. I weigh 160 pounds and solo, the BRP 2-Up shock made the ride a bit harsher although it did improve corner handling. If I were to do it over again and 2-3x the expense was not a problem, I would go with a more sophisticated shock that allows for adjustability. Just my take on it. OTOH, like folks have said, for the money, the BRP 2-Up shock is definitely an improvement over the weak stock F3 shock.
