• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've started looking at this as an option ..... is anyone familiar with the ( new ) Commander Touch - SXVCT 1 ..model ....... Sonic Electronix is selling this at a give-away price ( $ 34.99 & free shipping  ) .......... but I don't know anything about the product ............. Any info would be appreciated .....Thanks ...... Mike

In general any one will work. The difference is some have a delay which is nice if you go under an overpass or near large buildings or mountains. Not as many dropouts because it's a line of sight system. Used them many years on 18 wheelers. The weak point on most is the flimsy wires on the antenna and on the power as well.

Looks like a good deal with the 3 months free and $50 gift card, BUT says out of stock. I'm not on my bike or in the car enough to warrant the monthly fee. If you get a portable unit, then for $20 a month, I was quoted, you can "take it anywhere".

It seems that you will need an ant. too for that one.

Cancel one - Start another

I was thinking of cancelling Sirius radio in my car and starting one on a portable device. That way I can have it on my bike and in the car seeing as how I'm either in one or the other.....

I have sirius xm portable that I use in my truck on the RT and in the house. I also get it thru my computer. I have doing satellite radio on my bikes since about 2008 and I really like it. The only drawback as was mentioned before are the flimsy wires. I did get an antenna with only 8" of wire and it has done pretty good. I bought my radio years ago thru sirius xm.
