First ride for 2017

Well I got my first ride in for 2017 about 60 miles. Nothing like a New Year day ride in Michigan.

It was a balmy 42 here. Really got cold after the sun went down!

We have enough rain in the last few days that the roads were clear and dry so I went for.

Funny, yesterday I want on a ride that was called "the last ride of 2016". The temps ranged from the mid 50's to the mid 70's and sunny. :ani29:hyea::ani29:

My last ryde for 2016 (yesterday) was 73 myles, with a stop at a biker bar 25 miles south of home.

For the first ryde of 2017 (today) it was a nice 122 myles with missourigirl along for a seafood lunch at a fishing village on the Gulf coast.

You sound like my grandkids...only 88 more sleeps! If you are like me and take a nap, that's 176 more sleeps!! Yikes.

That seems like an eternity . This is my first Spyder winter and I don't like it at all.

I have taken a ride so far as cold 18 degrees with wind chill to 9 degrees .
I had Spyderpops hook my Rt for 12 volt heated gear. I did not feel the cold except on my face.
I got first gear suff from Ron.

It was a bit tough as the temp was only in the low 80's but rode my RT to church on New Years morning. Love Central Florida weather.
Never have to shovel sunshine.

New Year's Day temp was in the upper 70s here in San Antonio. Rode to a local park, then hiked trails for six miles, and rode home.
