• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Color Dilemma

Yeah, but that adds another option for me and opens the 3rd door and that is moving down from the limited to the rts. Don't care too much for the chome and the suitcase, like the gps but can kind of work around that.

Painted I end up with a very unique machine, paint it green, have her do a dragon theme. Outstanding!

My recommendation would make sure you get the color you want. I settled for a different color and am looking at trading it in for for my the one I wanted originally. I got caught up in the excitement and glad I got the Spyder but should have waited for the color I wanted.

That's kind of the way I feel as well, nearest dealer 10 miles away does not have what I want, the one 167 miles away does. I know dealers can trade inventories so perhaps can make it happen on there end.

Thanks

I would make the long trip and use the local dealer for service. You don't have to go to the original dealer for warranty and maintenance work.

Do dealers get pissy if you don't buy from them but bring in a vehicle purchased at another dealer? I do not know the math behind the business and this is just a wild ass guess but if I had to choose between selling new or say 10 years of service I'd think you'd make more money on the service. Add on the add-ons, helmets, gloves, shirts, belt buckles and other stuff I think the service aspect is where the money is. I'm just guessing.

Some do. :gaah: I know Pitbull doesn't.

The new wraps are amazing, look like paint, can wash, wax etc... You can custom design the whole thing. Not sure of cost but since when do we really concern ourselves with the cost of our toys? Buy a white bike and you have a clean slate.

How difficult are wraps to put on?

Some will put on the end of the line for service. If you do not do business with a local dealer. they may not be around when you need them. I firml;y believe in having a nice friendly relationship them, so you can go in and ask questions without paying for them

Yeah, can see that, that's one of the difficulties with regards to being a newbie, telling the good dealers from the bad dealers, it's tough.
