• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake Switch issues

It appears that I have a brake switch that is stuck on.

The brake lights are always on and you can start the machine without putting your foot on the brake pedal.

How does one replace that switch?

Thanks

The brake switch is a maintenance item and needs to cleaned from time to time. Did you clean it? You would be surprised what a rinse from a garden hose or shot from an air hose will do.

Check for crud on the switch. If you have been riding through mud--that may be the problem. A sticking switch will also lead to limp mode because the :ani29: will think you are riding the brake.

Of course this shouldn't be necessary but a few folks here have added a small booster spring ( from Home Depot , Lowe's, Walmart etc ) to add some ummph to the stock spring....... and/or try and keep it clean, but it's not easy because it tends to get dirty where it is ....... Mike
