• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Question about F3-S Seat and USB outlet

I am looking to add either the urban rack or the F3 Mono Seat Cowl. I have the usb power outlet installed under the seat now. When you install the seat, do they account for the USB outlet under the seat? It would be nice to put my devices in the storage container and charge them inside there.

Any help is appreciated.

What I mean is can you use the USB plug inside the mono seat or urban rack? Do you have it on your bike? If you do, mind sending a pic?

Yes you can...

I had the urban rack and USB plug under the rear of the F3-S (2015). The urban rack has a hole in the bottom tray; allowing pass through of charging cables. You'll be able to charge you phone inside the urban rack. The mono cowl has the same feature.

Here's a link to BRP's installation instructions:

I hope this helps.

It does. Thanks. Which do you prefer the urban rack or the mono seat?

I have several--one for the Winter battery tender I ran the battery charger connector via a small drilled hole in the upper frunk basket-plus I paralleled an outlet underneath to the front dash behind the windshield & secured it to the windshield support rod. There is also an outlet under the rear seat. Possibilities are endless.

Rattle in the seat

Questions to ask for those who have the Urban Rack or the Monocowl seat:

1) He mentioned that that mono cowl seat does shake. Does the Urban Rack rattle as well?

Here is a video of the mono cowl seat.

2) The mono cowl seat is plastic, but the Urban rack is Aluminimum. I would assume the Urban rack would not shake due to the metal element. Would that be true in this case?

I have the urban rack rack and it doesn't shake. You have to adjust the pin that secures it, but it's pretty sturdy. With that being said, its overpriced for what you get.

the USB will not fit. There is a hole in the urban rack, but you will have to run wires into it. It's too shallow to screw the USB port into it.

It must depend on the USB outlet that you're using -- mine fits just fine. The USB is not meant to be installed in the urban rack. It's installed underneath the rack and the hole in the urban rack is for the wires to go up into it. I have the USB outlet with one wire for my iPod and one for my phone or some other device that uses the same connector (like my power monkey, etc.) to charge so have 2 wires run up into the rack.
