• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Traction is great but the steering may need some attention....:roflblack:

It was "interesting" playing connect the dots with bare pavement until we got out of the neighborhood.

Maybe not studded, but....

What about winter dedicated snow tires? Not for deep snow, but maybe like my photo, or for frosty but generally dry and occasional wet/slush winter conditions - when I won't want to risk my two wheelers. Around here, we get warm days between snowstorms that clear enough to be able to ride when the main roads are dry/wet mix. but getting out of the neighborhood is a challenge.

I see Dunlop has a WinterMax http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...5R4WMAXX&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes for the front, and a couple of rears http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireS...e&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemark=1&RunFlat=All

Just curious if anyone's fool enough to ride in slick conditions enough to warrant real snow tires. Parked Motorcycle Syndrome (PMS) is a real struggle.

This thread is starting to worry me. In winters past, when the snow would fly, I'd just roll out the trusty KLR. Those semi knobbies did the job. If a car followed to close I'd look for some thick slush and rooster his windshield.

You don't ride three wheels in snow?

You don't still have it??
Find an old Honda XL 600... they'll do the same thing, for a lot less money!
(Install sheet metal screws in each of those knobbies, and you ride across a greased marble floor! nojoke)
