• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Three Generation Ryde

Is the 101...

... the Pacific Coast Highway? Is Big Sur on that highway? A friend and I have talked about getting a VW van, painting it hippie and riding the PCH and going to Big Sur. Please enjoy your ride - it is especially memorable since you are riding as a family and making great memories.

Now that's great family stuff. I thought it was cool when I was able to get spouses and lady friend to join up. At different times folks--just so you don't get the wrong ideas.:yes:

Yes and no! The road pictured is Highway 101 and looks like it is in Oregon. Big Sur is in California on Highway 1 and a part of PCH. Big Sur is between Moro Bay and Monterey. Highway 1 travels most of the coast of California and in the North it dead ends in Legget Ca at Highway 101. BTW you won't be the only one in a hippie van on that road!:roflblack::roflblack:

Actually this was taken on Hwy 1 just north of Fort Ross State Park. The section between Legget and Bodega Bay was our favorite part of the trip. Once you get south of Frisco it gets very crowded . We went all the way from Astoria to San Diego and then back up 395, two weeks and a blast.
I got a photo of my Son and granddaughter riding thru the Chandelier Tree that my Dad had ridden thru on his Harley in 1938 the first year they cut the tunnel in the tree, that made 4 generations of my family that made the ride through the tree. We also liked the little town of Ferndale as one of the highlights of the ride.

Road Hwy 101 from the Red Woods, in CA to Port Townsend in WA 2 years ago. Was a awesome ride. You should have less traffic tho. We went in August.
