There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. HEADLIGHT BULBS

I'M ABOUT TO (AGAIN) REMOVE THE TOP OF MY F3 TO REPLACE A HEADLIGHT BULB...
THIS WILL BE THE 4th TIME (5 BULBS), THAT I'VE REMOVED THE TOP OF MY F3 TO REPLACED ONE OF THESE BAD-BOYS....
MY NEXT REPLACEMENTS WILL BE OTHER THAN THE 'GLASS' TYPE H4 BLUB, AND I WILL NOW INSTALL THE L.E.D. BULBS....

IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING ISSUES WITH BULBS BURNING OUT...?
AND IS THIS ONE FROM CYCLE GEAR A GOOD CHOICE....?

I went with the H4 LED replacements from Lamonster and am very pleased with the brightness. Lamont also has an install video for the F3 Limited. He says they are the best and the money was reasonable too. My wife also noticed how bright they were when she drove ahead of me.

THX papa....
but what i'd REALLY like to know is: has anyone had 5 bulbs fail in a short period of time...?
and do the LED's burn out quickly as the 'glass' bulbs do....?

Headlight Bulbs

Dan when I had my ST-S I only had one bulb burn out in 25,000 miles. With 5 bulbs burning out on your F3-S I'm wondering if you might have some sort of electrical problem. Possibly an occasional surge of electricity that would blow a bulb?

My right headlight on my RT has burned out at least four times. The last time it fused the electrical connector that goes into the housing. The entire headlight was replaced under warranty.

The LED bulbs should never burn out. I'd spend a little more and get the ones Lamonster sells.

LED's

What I have read/heard is that ya want to stay away from "fan cooled" LED's. May want to do additional research for yourself prior to jumping on those...FWIW.

We're seeing a lot of bulbs burnout on the new Rt's mostly. Our LED lights come with a 2 year warranty and we have yet to have to replace one and we have a bunch of them on the road.

I just bought a pair from you for my F3T and I'm going to order another set for my Big Dog motorcycle, the one I have now has a fan on it and others that have the fan LED's are coming apart

So how does the single LED switch between high and low beam? I have an ulterior motive for this question. I have Lamonts LEDs that I bought before I realised that the Euro/Aussie model had two separate lights for high and low beam, unlike the US model. Is the LED effectively on high beam all the time and there is some kind of "shutter/screen" when on low beam? (If that makes ANY sense;))

On the RT that is exactly how they work. ON the F3, Hi / Lo is via a dual filament lamp. The LED replacements have dual sets of LED elements at different focal points.

Bulbs

Usually that tells me it is a bad ground. With any electrical problem start with the ground circuit........

Lamonts LED's

If you are going LED I also recommend Lamont's LED'S. I also have his LED fog lights and I am just about to hit 10,000 miles on both of them with no issue. I also never turn off the fog lights and have had no issue.

I have Lamont's LED's and his LED fog lights on my 2015 RTS.
I love them both, huge difference in the amount of light. I'm very comfortable riding at night now.
