• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Put mine on today and yes if makes a difference.

while I paid for the part i still think it should have been covered by father BRP.......heck he should reimburse those of us who already paid for it.

Joe Public...

That's what we are...they will take this knowledge and probably put this tensioner on the next years model now that we have tested it out and it has performed well. The best sample testing possible is Joe Public.... and we pay...:banghead:

Rode 200 plus miles on the F3 today with the new BRP tensioner in place and I was amazed. All the belt vibration is gone. Only thing I could feel at times was a little vibration from the engine, which was very minor. BRP really hit a home run with this cheap upgrade for the F3's!

Really good of you to post a photo of the new tensioner in your avatar, Doc ;)

Just finished putting mine on my F3 Limited, will try it out tomorrow.

UPDATE: Works like a charm

I agree with one said that we deserve to have BRP give us a free belt tensioner because we are used (R&D) to prove that it work.

I 'm just hoping that BRP will mail me a free belt tensioner for my Spyder they sold me without one.

Those are what were used for brakes back in the day. That is a Butler Petrocycle from the 1850's and the little wheels on the bottom were dropped down on each side to raise the rear wheel to stop....

I took a few pictures and I'll post them today sometime.

Wow.....fascinating......Thanks Doc.........I wonder if you can still buy those brakes aftermarket for the Spyder? I might give them a try to see if they upset nanny

Vibration almost nonexistant!

My 2015 F3 is an awesome ride, but the vibration above 62mph was very disturbing and distracting.
The vibration was most noticeable when feathering the throttle anywhere above 62mph. It was most annoying at 70mph and above. In fact I was hesitant to ride above 60 just because I thought my F3 was going to vibrate to pieces.
Installed the idler pulley and what a difference. The vibration is almost non existent now. I am very pleased.
Seems to me this ought to be installed at the factory.

If I was a betting man, it will probably be integrated into next year's model unless they are completely redesigning the bike.
