• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just curious if there is a stock Spyder with no mods or accessories? There must be one or two out there, or maybe not. :dontknow:

I am a fairly new owner (January), but if I ever do sell the Spyder, which I doubt, I think I will advertise it "Pay original cost for extras and the Spyder is free"

Just One Mod . . .

2008 SE5 Full Moon with trunk spring.
( it did come with the BRP Sport Touring windshield - so I consider that "stock" )

Maybe I should change my ID to Stocky?

Tom

2009 SM5 Full Moon...still completely stock, but then again, I've only had it for 3 months and put on 1500 miles so far...the stupid weather in VT this summer has been very uncooperative for riding.

Ha the ones at my dealer aren't even stock, well maybe the ones in the crate are. He has a pipe and windshield on one of them.

Some dealers are taking their in stock accessories and putting them on new Spyders as part of the BRP promotion offering a third year to the warranty and $1,500 in accessories.

Ok, my "work Roadster" is completely stock! It's a 2009 Red Spyder. I've had it now since May 1st and have over 3300 miles on it! (It's stock cause they won't let me modify it) :roflblack:

I can't afford any mods until I sell my Harley. I do have the Hindle that was included in the cost of the Spyder and those cute little red caps for the brake caliper.

I thought that's what this forum was for - - to find all the farkles you want & buy them with or before the Spyder. That way, when you can't ride, you can learn the "intimate details" of you new ride.... :spyder2:

My buddy's is completly stock, not ONE single mod. Not one..I am going to make him get a divorce if he doesn't get that stock can off soon. It is over 6 months old and he just passed 1000 miles.

I've got a 1.5 week old, 2008 Red SM5 that's totally stock. Oh wait, I installed the 12volt adapter on Friday - sorry!

Backrest next week... BRP side bags as well (maybe).

Won't last long.

OK, this raises an ethical question. Are BRP options considered mods? What if a dealer installs them? BRPJunkie's original question was "mods or accessories", so I guess the 12V outlet is an accessory, but do we tally it as a mod? :dontknow:
