• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much is your registration?

Depends on State

Obviously! But, if you pay low registration fees, you may be making that up in higher sales taxes, state taxes, county taxes, property taxes, etc. Indiana is really high for vehicle registrations, especially new vehicles. It is offset, somewhat, by the lottery revenue. $260 in excise tax, plus registration fee and wheel tax for my 2015 RTS.

In my part of NC there's $13.00 safety inspection fee that must be done before it can be reregistered and a $24.00 registration fee that this year includes a bathroom of your choice fee of $6.00.:dontknow:

WOW!

Does that include property tax that is paid at registration each year? In NC we have to pay property tax annually at registration. It's collected by DMV but immediately sent to another gang of thieves/wasters.

Registration Fees

In Vermont motorcycle registration fees are: $48.00(years???), $83.00 (years???), $ 96.00 ( four years). Deanna

Depends....

The break down in CA is as follows:

Registration Fee......$72.00
License Fee............... 56.00
County/dist Fee........ 7.00

Total Reg. Fee $135.00

Mine is $18.00 a year or $36.00 for two years. I have an extra Disabled Veteran plate that I could use and get free registration for life, but I might use it on a automobile.

It is really expensive in Nevada and most of that is a tax. The "registration" portion is pretty small and goes to the state, the tax goes to the county. Lucky for us Clark County gives a nice discount to veterans and their spouses so we can deduct nearly $1,000 on the tax portion of our renewals.

I really dunno what y'all are complaining about?!?

Come down here & pay my rego for a bit, what with tax & victims of crime levy etc it's almost $130...... for just THREE MONTHS!! :sour:

And that's with the Disabled/Veteran's discount too!! Comes in at about $520 per year, & it's going up (again...) in a couple of months too!! AND our Compulsory Third Party Insurance is being privatised & if it follows the pattern set by everything else, that'll be double what it is now in a few years too!!

At least it's a great place to live, & there are a lot of things going for us - but it sure ain't cheap on any count!!
