There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RTL vibration comes and goes

I have noticed that when I ride my Spyder I get vibrations on it. It comes and it goes and it's not at any certain speed but I do notice it more at higher speeds. It can be vibrating and if I change speed any it will stop sometimes and may or may not come back for any given length of time. Anyone else have this? And it has had the laser alignment done recently by the previous owner at the same time the rear tire was changed.

If it was tire balance it would be consistent. I am at a loss, I rode about 200 miles this morning and it was enjoyable but aggrevating at the same time.

If tires are balanced, and bike is properly aligned then it is simply a matter of road harmonics.

Do the idler pulleys for the belt work good?
Do a search for belt tensioner and belt vibration. There are many good comments that will help you understand about the variables involved and how well the solutions work. You will also read posts until your brain gets fuzzy because this topic has been beat to death! Yes they work, but there is no simple answer as to what belt tension and idler force you will want to use.

It starts around 50mph. It's not a constant either.
If this buzz is starting at 50: that's way lower, than anyone else has reported the typical harmonic vibration from the belt.
Check the belt tension and alignment before buying any belt stabilizer...

I say its starting around 50!!!! I need to go ride to be sure what I am saying is correct, it may be higher. I just know I felt it on some of the roads we were riding yesterday and the speed limit was 55 mph. I may have been running 60 or so.

Have had similar thing happen intermittently at highway speeds. Lazer aligned, removed tire with spin balance etc. Right fender will vibrate on occasion but not the left fender. Finally gave up trying to fix it and decided it was an intermittent belt vibration. Changing speed usually stops this even with a few MPH.

I will try changing my speed to see if it helps. I am hoping to ride sometime this week if I finish my tri-axis bar installation. I will let y'all know what I find.

Thanks for your help,
Jeremy

If it is belt vibration not only does speed cause it to come and go, but road surface can affect it. If the belt is on the verge of vibrating certain roughness characteristics of the road can trigger it to start, and stop. I have a belt tensioner and I experienced belt vibration right at 60 mph, but the road had to be smooth and the speed steady before I sensed it. 1 or 2 mph above and below it disappeared.

Sounds like I need to go play with it some to see what affects it.
Wish I hadn't started th bar installation so I could test it. Oh well, maybe this weekend.
