• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are the Shad bags removable?

The support frame is big. I'm not a fan. But it's only 3 or 4 screws to remove the frame on eachside when not using.

You can see them in this pic. Not to bad. But a little to big for me.

I can concur, very easy to remove but securely attached when mounted. The mounting brackets aren't too obtrusive when the bags are removed, although I've only found myself removing them for cleaning.

I leave them on all the time as they are very useful to stow a bit of shopping here and there. I think they give the Spyder a more 'motorbike' look as they are from the bike world.

I can post some pictures of mine on from various angles if you want them?

There may also be news on the shad top box mounts soon..............

Some more pic would be awesome. Thanks so much. From what I can tell, the BRP and the shad are the only hard bags I can find that are detachable. I really am looking for something that can be easily removed for a clean look. I have the Nelson rigg soft bags now. They are OK, but not waterproof. Thanks again

I can't recommend them highly enough. They win on all fronts,

Style - proper bike gear and look the part for touring
Price - Much better price than the BRP bags.
Quality - really well made and solid - only comment is they mark easily if rested on rough ground
Liners - Inner bags are really well priced and good quality too.

Definitely 100% waterproof - had to drive through torrential rain for 3 hours on my tour of Scotland. Inner bags were still dry.

Like I say, I just leave them on all the time. It's not like on a two wheeled bike where they make it wider - they are still narrower than the front wheels.

I'll take some pics this week-end with and wthout the bags from various angles.

Awesome. Thanks. Can you take a few of the mounts when off the bike please? And how hard is it to remove the mounts of I wanted a true clean look?

It is just four screws on each side of the bike, two in the handles, two in the rear wheel well area. Very easy to install.

OK, photo time. Bags on:

The photos distort the size a bit but they are just narrower than the front track so no issue catching them on anything.

As stated above, four bolts to remove on each side. The two through the grab handles and two further forward.

I can see why you're asking about removing them but I really don't think you'll be bothered once you've got them. I can't think of any reason to remove them other than style, and I think it looks cooler with the bags on.
