• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cold Blooded Spyder

Is the Spyder generally cold blooded, or is it just a "new bike thing"? At 360 miles, it starts easily, but spits and stammers until it warms up.

Just curious.

You're not supposed to ride it until it warms up to 1-2 bars - according to the BRP techs. Otherwise you will sputter.

Thanks - I use it as a commuter. Letting it warm in in the Garage at 5am ain't gonna happen..... It's a slow easy run to the SS, and she's warm by then.

at first, a little - - - after the 600, I have not noticed

My SE5 did some sputtering at first, but not now.
I now start it, put on the helmet, gloves, get on and release the parking brake and go. By the time I open my gate, drive through and park, close the gate, and remount - it is good to go.

Mine runs fine with 0 bars. I understand that this is not normal behaviour for a Spyder. Therefore something must be broken but I have no intentions of finding it and fixing it. ;)

Ever since I put the Evoluzione race air system and fuel mod with increased gas pressure to 62 psi , mine won't sputter when cold anymore--- but I still let it warm up to 1-2 bars before taking off. I want that oil moving nice and free before putting any stress on the engine.
