• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There are Dealers and there are dealers!

We have the best. Two days before we are to leave for the Nor-Cal Spyder Rally my wife says the front end of the RT is wobbling a bit at 50+ mph. To be safe we take it in and our dealer ELK GROVE POWERSPORTS takes a look. They call me on Wennesday night to say that the lower steering coupler appears to be stripped and that is causing the wobble. Definitely not safe to drive. So they have a part overnighted from Valcourt to Elk Grove, Ca and they are finishing it up as I type this. We will have the bike by 6 tonight. Oh, and the best part,NO CHARGE! Now that is a GREAT dealer. Not only to they sell more Spyders than any dealer in the west, they have a service team that does great work, and they know how to get things done with the manufacturer! If you are in California, it's worth the drive to Elk Grove!:yes::yes: See you at NOR-Cal Spyder Rally!

You have a good one....

Glad you have them handy. It would not have turned out so nicely in most places ...:banghead: but you will be on your way to a great location with some fine ryding...:2thumbs::ohyea:

Why?

Hey Pirate glad to hear the dealer took care of you. Enjoy the trip. Did they happen to mention how or why it failed?

:2thumbs: Good to hear & hope they can help more.
Are they more involved in the Nor Cal rally? (Hosting any rides or meals?)

consider yourself lucky. some of us are cursed with dealers who don't give a flip except making a sale. after that, you're on your own.

We had a trailer module go out while riding around the country. Elk Grove got us in and replaced the module with one from a kit so we didn't have to wait around, and even though the trailer wasn't under warranty they checked it out for us as well. The only cost was a soda pop and a rental car to explore the area a bit while they were fixing up our ride.

While we were on the ride we had to have dealer assistance three times. Elk Grove was the best of all the dealers we dealt with. (more than three because some of the dealers I talked to were willing to get me in for a tire change, but I would have to wait three weeks).

Good to hear.. Hope we all find a dealer like that.

Isn't there a thread on here somewhere about some of the best/worst dealers? I have searched and for some reason cannot find it. Some of the GOS (Girls on Spyders) members have told me several times there is a thread on here. If found, can someone please post web address. Thanks!
