• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2017 Parts and accessories catalog

Thanks....

Thanks for the link....:bowdown: not as much fun as the old sears catalog but to the point...:roflblack:

The 2017 Canadian version showed up last week for a couple days and then went back to the 2016 version. :banghead::banghead:

OK, I see where they have an introduction version of the F3 with only 105 hp. But what I did not see is what configuration do you have to get in order to have the 115 hp version. Are they saying that all the new 2017 engines will now have only 105 hp, and why would they detune an engine for an "entry level" version? It doesn't make since to have 2 different horsepower ratings for the same engine.

From what I can see, it is ONLY the intro version that has the 105hp motor & the 79 tooth rear sprocket. So surely, to get the 115hp/89 tooth sprocket version you simply order any other F3!?! After all, they do say they have ONLY the one offering with the de-tuned engine, the cheaper 'entry level' version!? Lotsa car & bike manufacturers do this sorta thing in order to provide some reason d'être for the higher cost of their up market offerings, & BRP have simply responded to the calls for a cheaper 'entry level' offering..... ;)

Yea, I think you are right. I will have to get a hard copy of the 2017 book in order to be fully convinced. As far as asking any of the local dealerships, they are always clueless when it comes to the spyder line. I was told earlier this year that the base model F3 had the V-Twin engine:banghead:. After trying to convince him that he was wrong, I just smiled, called him an idiot, and walked away.

Lamont....................

Thanks so much for the link to the catalog.
What's your take on BRP dropping the RS and ST ?

When they dropped them in Europe it was a sign of the future here. Sales must have been weak and you can't expect dealers to floor plan Spyders that don't sell or have to be given away at cost. I would of liked to see a RS come in at around 12K like the first GS but I guess that doesn't pencil out either.
