I finally got all my parts in and I have boards ready to ship. Three sets have gone out so far and I just put this up. Read through the options and be sure to give us a call before ordering so we can make sure you're getting the right setup for your bike. I love my boards and so does my wife and we have thousands of miles on them now. :doorag:

Is there any mod that will let these work with position #5, Lamont? The brake pad in #4 is too close for me to bend my ankle up enough with my 38" inleg !

Also curious about this. I use position 5 and four would probably be too short,

I'm just guessing; but I think that the 'Boards need to be mounted in #3, or #4 positions, in order for them to mount up to the bike properly.
I wonder if the brake and shift controls could be independently moved to position #5, with some sort of separate mounting attachment for them? :dontknow:

You could just PM Lamont, and ask him about this kind of option...
Please let everyone know what you learn about this!

I know that the mounting locations are pretty close together. It'd probably take some sort of custom offset-mount, to make it all work...
(Just my completely in-expert guess...)

In the video Lamont says that he wants everybody to call in their order so they can answer these questions to make sure that you get the right set up.

I think you'll find that the #4 setting will work just fine. I say that because part of our testing is we had riders that had theirs set on #5 that felt the #4 setting worked just fine for them. Same with folks that were on #2, the #3 setting worked fine for them. The dynamics are different than a stock peg setup and that's why it works over a broader range than the fixed peg mount.

Looks like I need to make a revision on the RIP boards. These will work on a #5 setting too. The testing I did on #5 was before we added the arc link and I guess I forgot to try it on #5 with the link. So you long legged folks can use it on #5 too :doorag:

So, as it looks that is "without" the splash guards.. Can they still be installed using the #5 setting? Can the foot rests also be used with the #5 setting??

Thanks Lamont

Splash guards are way out of the way and do not need to be removed. This is my custom F3 and I took them off a long time ago.

Looks like this will work with the #2 setting too. The links I added later made all the difference. :doorag:

With the new links we added they will now work in #2 #3 #4 and #5 :doorag:

I need to get these! :coffee: Have to check to see what position I have. I think I'm at #2. Tom :spyder:

You should never "assume", Bob;)...... I already did that a couple of weeks ago:helpsmilie:....via the Lamonster website "contact us" page and have received no reply, which is why I am asking on here. I didn't want to send a PM as well.

.......and I see Lamont has responded on here anyway.........good news, except for the revelation that they don't work with the stock boards that come with the F3-L, so there's an extra charge involved which will make them bloody expensive to get out here:shocked:

I'll have to do some "sums" :dontknow:

We respond to all emails. Check you spam folder.

What you could do is go by your local dealer and see if he will swap your stock boards for foot peg mounts. It's a win win for both of you. I would ask him to take the pegs off for you too.

Lamonster, that makes me sound like a liar. I am NOT. I sent an email on 17th July.........I have just received an email reply this morning after I posted on Spyder Lovers. You can understand why I said I had received no reply, since nearly two weeks had elapsed. Nothing to do with my spam folder.

Thanks for the suggestion Lamont, but I want to keep my stock F3 boards. I'll see if anyone has updated to boards and has some pegs they want to get rid of out here if I can't buy the fittings from you as part of the RIP boards......I am also interested in the highway pegs that will mount on the RIPs. Any rough idea when they may be available?

I'm not saying you're a liar, not sure how you get that out of my comment. I answer every email I receive. I have been on the road for the last 12 days so if it came in then it could have been missed I guess.

So you have my attention now, what is it you emailed me about and I'll do my best to answer you.
