• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back pressure??

I have a 2016 RTS. Just over 900 miles. Just added Lamonster cat elimination pipe and Ackrapovic muffler. Should I be hearing/feeling back pressure? Seems like I'm not getting the flow thru and acceleration that I should be and am feeling what I think is back pressure.

Can I ask just where & how are you feeling this 'back pressure'??

Or maybe it'd be better to ask what you think it is that you should be noticing??

Sluggish on initial acceleration

Hard to explain. Sluggish on initial take off in 1st and 2nd gears. I wouldn't say it Boggs down but was just expecting quicker acceleration . Seems slower now than with cat and stock muffler.

I have that exact same setup.
I did remove the baffles in the muffler.

Absolutely NO problems

I could be wrong, but I think that a certain amount of back-pressure is needed, in order to yield the low-end torque that most folks like... :dontknow:

Yup, not enough back pressure leads to lack of torque.

TRUE FEELINGS

I know this will cause a RIOT but .................IMHO anything less than a 20 % increase ( HP - torque whatever ) will only register on A. a Dyno ......or B. a Barstool ..........:gaah::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:........................Mike
