• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gun nuts

Thats gonna be $$$ to shoot till the masses start to produce the ammo for it. Reminds me of a larger version of the FN 5.7

Cool

Sweet! Have you seen the Rock Island TCM .22? It is a 9mm necked down to .22. Also cool.

I own a 22TCM, the round is not a necked down 9mm, but rather a cartridge all it's own based on the 5.56x45.

It is fun to shoot and at 17 rounds in the mag is a hoot to shoot. They claim around 2,000 fps muzzle velocity out of a 5" 1911, my results were around 1800 out of my Commander size Rock Island 1911. There is an effort to make an AR style rifle with a 35 round magazine I may have to put on my wish list.

Thanks for clearing that up; my gun store guy told me. Still think it is cool. I like my 5.7, too! Can you ever have too many?

this is something that now interests me

The Judge looks nice, But I've seen reliability issues with them.

I prefer the Henry Big Boy Steel in 357 mag. Same load as my sixgun, but 1800+fps out of a 20" barrel. Good brush gun for medium size game.

Also, Henry is 100% "Merican"

Patti,
Once you figure out which guns you NEED to have...

...:D Then, it's time to concentrate on Farkles for the Spyder! :2thumbs:

Well; Let's see:
You need a large caliber in each room for self-defense...
You need a small caliber in each room for critters, varmints, and annoying folks that aren't quite worth seriously killing...
You'll need several spare around the house, for when one comes up empty, and reloading time is scarce...
A couple of spares for when you take your primary pieces to the gunsmith for tuning and custom-work.
Several have to be kept around in case a friend comes up short, and needs to borrow.
Then you have the ones tucked away for a rainy day...
And even more for a sunny day!

This is all assuming that you don't hunt with your handguns: we could talk for HOURS about those unique needs... :D

I'd say that if you have about 168 handguns in your possession: you're ALMOST good to go! :2thumbs:

That round looks very interesting. Looks like a CZ75 clone for the frame. Thanks for sharing!

I keep hoping 5.7 will become more mainstream, it's a great round. It is not practical in a short barrel concealed package due to needing the longer barrel to pick up speed. 7.62x25 is a sleeper round, check out the test done on the Military Arms Channel on YouTube.

Too many guns? I've been trying to figure out how to prioritize Spyder farkles vs guns and ammo this summer. It's tough!

My latest:

My latest: new project.jpg All dry fit and marked for shaping. Now to take it apart and start filing, sanding, grinding and scraping. Next will be pattern sketches for carving the stock. Then the barrel flat to be engraved. Then to final shape and polish the brass. Then to stain the stock. Then the presentation case to be fabricated. The dilemma: blueing? browning? or leave it white?
