• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ilco's X270 key blank...

My RT's also a 2010... When they cut your keys did they reconfigure the "shoulder" of them?

Nope. The young lady did two blanks in about 1 minute. I didn't mention that there might be problems. Took them out and they worked. DOn't know what to say.

I just had my other two cut, and I'll need to take a file to the shoulders again... Just another weekend project!

Ilco's X270 key blank...

I AM TRYING TO GET SPARES MADE FOR MY 2014 AND THE 2 LOCKSMITHS I HAVE GONE TO HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE A KEY.

I HAVE A 2009 SUZUKI SX4 CROSSOVER AND IT HAS A KEY THAT SLIPS INTO A KEY FOB BUT IS NOT A CHIP KEY. I HAD NEW KEYS MADE FROM A REGULAR BLANK AND I HAD TO FILE THE SHOULDERS DOWN SO IT WOULD GO IN FAR ENUF TO START THE CAR BUT THEY DID OPEN THE DOOR LOCKS. BETTER THAN SPENDING $75 FOR A KEY THAT ISN'T EVEN A CHIP KEY. WHAT A RIP OFF. THANKS, MIKE

If your locksmiths can't cut an X-270 to match your key: you need new locksmiths... nojoke
I went to a local Ace Hardware Store... the kid had no problem copying the key.
Five minutes after he was done with the key: he was stocking shelves... definitely NOT a "locksmith".

Hey Bob,
I'll autograph that picture of my key if you want.

Where I live the hardest part of the job was finding the blank. Then the "aw :cus:"
popped up when it wouldn't depress far enough into the ignition switch to unlock the frunk or seat. Beveling it on the bench grinder was no problem.

I also had mine done at Ace. Did not try it to open the frunk. I have set my seat up so I don't need to unlock it. I have a second keyin the rear trunk and I know I can unlock it with the Ilco key which I carry in my wallet.

The service key Billy mentioned is very nice and would save the beveling. I prefer to keep the Ilco in my wallet where the service key would be too fat. YMMV.

I don't know what year model your bike is, my experience is with a 2013, bikes 2014 and newer are a different animal when it comes to a chipped key.

Most hardware stores will not carry bike key blanks. You can, however, order them online. I have ordered from these folks (http://www.lockpicks.com/aprilia-scooters-transponder-key-rw-zd23rt5-jma.html). I have had the blanks cut at Ace Hardware and at Lowes. I have also had them clone the key from one of my originals with no problems. There are more than a few threads on cloning if your bike is older than 2014.

If you are only interested in a non-chipped key, these folks carry that: http://mysecuritypro.com/TriumphTMC1MotorcycleKeyBlanks.aspx. I have not purchased from them so I don't personally know about their service.
