• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

NMN Risers

Well I got my new 4" risers installed on my Spyder. It ended up taking me about 3-1/2 hours.

Part of that was 2 trips to Checker Auto for things I did not have (torque wrench and then adapter from torque wrench to socket) and about 20 minutes trying to find the small plastic push fastener that I dropped into the cluster panel. I finally gave up then later during the install I heard it drop to the ground.

Install was pretty straight forward and I think installing the second pair on my wifes Spyder should take about half the time. I tell her that is because I don't care as much about her bike. LOL The worst part is putting the reverse cable back in to the holder. takes about 3 hands to get the cable and the lever in the right place before you quickly shut the case over the bars. Hoping the second one will be easier.

I do suggest going on the NMN site and printing the pictures in color. Big difference than the black and white copies that come with the risers.

My only comment after my first ride is I have this thought in my head that they will come off or rotate forward when I brake heavy and the force of my body is pushed onto the bars. They are very solid and attached well but I can't seem to talk my mind into that. I guess it will take a couple more miles to get used to the feel. I love being more upright on the bike and think it will really make a difference on the long rides.

If the 1" BRP riser is already installed, can you use the 4", or are you limited to 3" ?? Does it make a difference whether you have an SE or SM ??

I've basically made up my mind to go NMN, but I'm just procrastinating out of habit.

:dontknow:

I think you will need to order the 3" risers if you already have the BRP 1" riser. It does make a difference on the SE vs SM. Just tell them which one you want when you order.

I have the HeliBar riser. It is up 1" and back 4". Does this only rise the bar or does it drop it back too?

NMM RISES TO THE TOP

Seems like more riders prefer the NMM rises 3 to 1

This was not a paid endorsment, I can't afford any upgrades right now, my business is in the tank from this economy... but would love to get a set as soon as I can save a little.
