• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best Travel pegs (driver) ?

It depends on how far you want to stretch out. I have a short inseam so I went with Kewl Metal highway mounts with Kury Widow Pegs with stirrups. You can see my pics album titled "My Spyder Mods" For people with longer legs NMN foot rest brackets seems to be the way to go. I would suggest looking at both and see what works best for you. NMN & Kewl Metal are 2 sponsors of this site. I have purchased from both and have been very satisfied with both of their products.

With hundreds of sets now sold over the last 2 years, I dare say these are the the number one seling units world wide. With a retail price of only $159.00 these won't bust the budget for most riders as well.

Lamonster has about 25,000 miles on his and still loves them as much today as he did a year ago.

Brackets

you know the kind that you can stretch out your legs on a long trip

The ones from KEWL METAL are very strong and actually bolt to your motor mounts, these are the ones I have and I am pleased with them; However, they don't give as much stretch as the ones from NMN but are much stronger. BTW I am 5' 11'':f_spider:

:agree:

I have the NMN highway setup -- and love it:2thumbs:...the position of the pegs is adjustable and I have it installed straight towards the front... works for me (6'2"). You can aim it towards the rear for a shorter rider. I not only have the pegs, but the stirups as well; ball of foot on peg, heel on stirup...I can move my feet around and it feels like I have floor boards installed. The attached photo's show the pegs, me on the bike regular position and me on the bike on the pegs. Hope this helps..

I just picked up my Spyder this AM. Had the ISCI Floorboards and a Bruce Fabrication exhaust installed by the dealer. I was so impressed with the appearance and comfort that I just ordered the passenger floorboards :shemademe_smilie:and the footpeg risers. Also love the new sound.

SE or SM?

How easy is it to actuate the extended brake pedal. Lift the foot, use the heel, etc?

And if an SM how is extended toe shifter - enough leverage to use your toe with a full lift of the foot?

I am having custom dual exhaust installed so floorboards kind of drifted to the back burner

Thanks,

Pete
