• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT Brake Light

I ran into a couple from Branson and they were broke down. The brake light does not come on when you step on the pedal and then it goes into limp mode. Fixed a wiring mess on the right one and checked the fuse. Any Ideas?

If you have compressed air, that bracket underneath that those two switches mount on, blow the crud off it and see if the brake lights begin to operate.

Also, what is this mess of wires you fixed all about, someone did a poor install of some mods? Did they cut and splice the wire harness?

BINGO! We blew air from the bottom then from the top and a "click" was heard and someone shouted there's a brake light. They are on the road to Nashville to meet up with some MoGang riders to ride the Trace tomorrow.

Yup, all fixed now.

Thanks

If anybody can post a photo of what you are talking about and where it is, it would be great for future reference.

Joe,
It's not exactly in an easy place to access...
You've got to stick your head up under the bike; just aft of the right side footpeg (or floorboard) mount. Follow the connecting rod from the brake pedal rearward, and you'll hit the brake switch.

John Toro deserves credit also, he mentioned the cause prior to me.

John Toro is a quality person and fun...

Step on the brake pedal and just opposite your heal is the switch but it is buried under some sheet metal cover. You have to take the panel off just above the right floorboard/foot peg.

You can get to it without removing that panel; but then you'd miss out on a World-Class version of "The Limbo", while getting underneath the bike. :D
(While you're there: please take a picture for the rest of us!)
