• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Laser Alignment

I got a price of $80 but that was from a dealer that has the lazer alignment and has never used it and said it's kinda a waist of money. So I figured they have no idea what they're talking about. Still gotta find a place near me that can do it.

Go to www.spydercomfort.com and you will find a list of dealers and independents that do Rolo/Outlaw Laser Alignments. I'd steer clear of that dealer - you don't want to be someone's test rat.

I didn't notice any difference at all in handling when I had mine done. So either it was already in great alignment and the dealer should not have charged me for the full alignment, or it is a waste of time/effort. I only told him to go ahead based on the positive comments on this board. I wouldn't do it again though.

On Average....

125-150 but if you want the Laser house call get in touch with Joe and Ann (Squared away) and get a group of ryders together.... they are :firstplace:

You may be one of the few who got lucky. Mine was night and day. The handling, especially in the cures was 100% better.

Thanks for that site. I went to it and checked. It gives me the dealer I talked to Seymour power sports. Like I said they said they have it they've never used it. Put let me ask you mine is a 09 with 8000mi on it the tires are original tires and really don't show much wear all tires are wearing totally even so in your professional opinion is it worth getting it done? On a straight flat Rd I can let go of the bars and it goes straight for quite awhile. Thanks again

I am Interested in getting my spyder aligned could you tell me where you got it done?

Thanks

I paid 96.00 in Medford Or. last week. I had done the toe in myself but wasn't quite right with the rear wheel. I think the handling is more even left to right.

If we were to check yours and it was within specs we wouldn't charge you but I doubt your dealer would make you that same deal. We have found less than 1% of the Spydrs that we have looked at in alignment from the factory.

Squared away did 17 of them last year in spokane including 3 new machines and ALL were well out of tolerance, every one of the commented on how much difference it made, one even called when he got home and said it was like a new bike, he was totally amazed. We are so looking forward to them coming back next month.

I would first replace the 7+ year old tires then get it Laser Aligned (preferably from squared away or some one that knows what they are doing).

Tire life/alignment

Ok, even though you only have 8k, the tires have aged out. 4 years is about max. For safety, replace them. See how it rides. If still straight and true, you are one of the 1% that is properly aligned from the factory! Our paths will cross; I'll check it for you, and you can see for yourself. If it is within spec, it's free. I'm actually short a couple to get up to 1%, so I'm hoping you can even up the score!! Joe
