There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Stebel nautilus air horn install on 2013 STS

I am looking at the Stebel nautilus twin airhorn for my STS - have seen lots of posts for installs on the RT. Anyone had experience with this? Haven't had the tupperware off so not sure exactly how much space is available in stock horn space. Also - get wiring harness or use existing wires?

I have a 2014 ST-L. The only place I could find to mount it vertical as recomended was on the right side above and behind the coolant reservoy. I used the relay as recomended. I did not buy a harness. I ran wires to the original horn so they both work. Remember the horn button makes the ground not the hot.
Good luck,
Roger

Let's see....

On my profile to the left you will see Mod#3 where there is a picture of the air horn mentioned located in the same location as the oem horn was. I only added a zip tie to hold it in place it's a snug fit. I used only the original wires and it has worked well. Although I have been told that if you honk for 10 sec or more straight you may blow the fuse. I have never had to lean on the horn that long ....

Thanks Roger -- Will likely have the dealer install it (not being the most adventurous with the tupperware) - but needed something to reference for them. I like the idea of keeping the current horn and switch.

Thanks -- I understand that if most eardrums would shatter with this horn after 6 seconds, so blown fuse is a second consideration ! ;)

Roger - One more question -- did you install the Stebel Nautilus Compact Twin air horn (7 x 5.5 x 3.4) OR the Stebel compact mini (4.3 x 5.5 x 3.7) ? Thanks.

I have the Stebel Nautilus Compact. Since it is under the Tupperware, I got the black one. It is less expensive. They are all twin tone. Some vender descriptions say mini, but I do not believe that Stebel uses the term mini. I could not find the dimensions You listed anywhere. I believe they are all 4 1/2X 3 1/2X 4 1/2. Google Stebel USA and see what they make. About instillation: You can do this. It is not hard. It just takes a little time. You do not have to raise the Spyder. There are tork drivers in your tool kit. Taking the Tupperware off is easy. The wiring instructions are inside the hang tag that is part of the horn package. You can get wire, connectors, an in line fuse, and any needed advice at Home Depot, or an auto parts store. YOU CAN DO IT! And when you are finished you will have a great sense of accomplishment. In the future, when people (particularly children) come over when you are stopped, and admire your Spyder, you give them a little lecture about how "they should NEVER touch someone's motorcycle, without permission. It is very precious to them and it would be rude to touch it. BUT you will give them permission to touch your motorcycle, just this once." Keep your finger over the horn button till the last minute so they can not see the horn picture. "Push that button." Watch them jump. Particularly little boys. They love it.
You can do it,
Good luck,
Roger

SNOOPY is the one who told me where it would fit. I will be forever grateful. He said it was tight, and it was, but it did fit.
Thank you again SNOOPY.
Roger
