• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Want to install L E D head lights on my 13 rt! Must be plug n play! Who has them? What do I have to remove to install them? Thank you in advance for your help! :shemademe_smilie:

I just put in some TRICLED headlights and they are plug and play the only thing is if they dont work turn the plug, the Plus and Minus has to be correct or the headlights dont work..You will have to pull off some Tupperware to get to the headlight bulbs

I have these in our 2014 RT. The most lumen output at 3200 per bulb. Fan cooled for best performance. The bulb with fan easily fits inside the headlight and the cover is installed, the waterproof black box is easily mounted to the headlight shell exterior.

No cutting, not trimming no interference with the high beam shutter.

If you check out the website, Cyclops only does high end aftermarket headlighting. They are one of the most used companies for high power race lights.

I run a 3600 lumen LED in my KTM off-road motorcycle, others that have ridden my bike at night comment that it is an unfair advantage.

So it seems there are 2 very high quality products in this space. Would be nice to see a head to head comparison. Weren't there some with issues getting all the cyclops components under the cover?

If I may comment in here..

Check out Vendor Forum under TricLed. We had post articles and pictures regarding our LED replacement. Thanks

Steve, if they have a shootout, I would put these LEDs against any others currently available.

As I mentioned in the post, the black box was mounted externally onto the side of the headlight housing. This was a non issue since the entire housing is nestled well inside the protected underbody area, unseen unless the headlight is on the bench and even though the black box is waterproof it is so well protected unless you drove into a river it would not get wet.

Someone did mention the possible entry of dust. With a foam gasket sealing the joint, the likelyhood of dust entry is none, but if people want to go with it then no problem from me.

I do my homework and seldom by junk or items that are purchased to be mainstream or be like others.

I spent a bunch of time speaking with Darryl at Cyclops before installing these and even shared info with him for others to use. The testing accomplished by Cyclops indicates that a fan cooled bulb is more efficient and remains brighter. LEDs and electronics performance degrade with increased heat.

Concerning reliability, Cyclops videoed an illuminated Cyclops LED buld being fully submerged into water, then removed and dunked again several additional times. During this test, the bulb remained fully illuminate and even though submerged the fan continued to operate. Consider that those parts are protected inside the headlight housing. The black box is simply wires in and wires out, very small and lightweight, waterproof also, that is no doubt easy to seal for no issues.

If TricLED wants to meet up in West Palm on a moonless night, or if anyone else with LEDs wants to meet and compare, let me know. I know real world locations we can test / compare.

All the best, with whatever the OP decides. In summary, if you ride at night, quality lighting upgrades become very important. If you ride fast at night the lighting upgrades almost seem mandatory.

+1 for TricLED. I installed the head lights and it was P&P. I'm considering the fog light kit but you have to remove the frunk; the air intake duct is in the way.

I was going to ask if anyone had these and if so, what's their opinion?
Not sure how Plug-n-play, but says no Ballast to deal with....

I just installed these & the fog lights last weekend.
They are totally plug & play.
The install is pretty straight forward, though it has been said that you can get at the fog lights without removing the frunk, after about 15 minutes of trying to get at the left side light and finding the hose for the cold air intake for the 1330 lays on the cover decided to remove the frunk and make my life easier...
They come with both a yellow & blue tinted sleeves.
I chose to not put the sleeves on which and went with the amazing bright white.
The pics attached are from 10 feet away from the garage door.
