• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a known cure for farkling...

My RS is beginning to feel like an ST. I just installed the Rivco passenger boards to match the driver floorboards. Its a big difference from the stock setup, I like the idea the driver boards also have pegs so I have a few different seating positions. I'm hoping this farkling disease has a cure, I got it bad. The pictures are deceiving, the boards are not that close to each other. I have plenty of room to shift and not hit the passenger boards. I have my Wrap my Spyder kit to install on a warm day.

There is no known cure, except running out of money. Or, for some, a spouse can arrest the disease. But even then, you continue to suffer.

Hey you forgot one

Now you need the ISCI extended brake lever & pedal
to go with the Rivco boards

Nope, no known cure. It can be in remission, that's about it. You farkle till you can't anymore, then you get a new bike and it starts all over again.

Yes...

Buy a new spyder fully loaded and lock up all cash and credit cards. Change your mailing address leave no forwarding address, ryde alone in areas not known to spyder riders and you may have a fighting chance...:roflblack::roflblack:

We all get the "bug" on farkling our Spyders.....it just doesn't happen to us - here's another "addict" that went a little wild on the tail lights! LOL :yikes::yikes::yikes:

Yes, I am a farkling addict as well ...you can check that out in my mods on my profile page - welcome to the club!

Enjoy your farkling and "don't worry about it" !! :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Farkled snow blower???

NO----- there is no cure for farkelitisnojoke I have really tried to keep it down and under control but it's still there. Even my wife is getting it:yikes:. She wanted to get the helmet locks that will replace the bar ends THAT I MADE. i found another method though. We are waiting on a Rivco chrome trunk rack now.

I try to be a " form follows function" guy. But the list is still very long.

Trying to kick farkelitis cold turkey will cause:::::::

Kaos

PS: and yes I've modified both snowblowers.

farkle
accessory.

The word is generally accepted to mean a combination of "function" and "sparkle", hence, farkle.

Motorcycle enthusiasts may install accessories, called farkles (also spelled farkel), to customize their machine.
One source attributes the term to Pete Wells, the organizer of a 1997 Honda ST1100 rally

The term is well known in the sport touring community.

An enthusiast may be in the process of "farkling". The completed motorcycle would be all "farkled up". Radar detectors, Global Positioning System receivers, heated grips, and satellite radios are some of those farkles. Other accessories could be aftermarket seats, side and/or top cases or bar risers, which make the motorcycle more suitable for long miles.

Something like that the if that fails you find yourself putting farkles on everything from vehicles to lawn mowers! Just the way it is for some. Good luck in your control efforts.
