• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

1330 Engine Temp

I am in the second day of ownership of my 2014 RT-S. I have taken two rides thus far and the temperature has been quite cool. The thing I have noticed is that it seems to take much longer to warm this engine up than my old 998. Is it normal for this engine to take about five miles of gentle riding to get up to temp when the outside temp is 45 degrees ? Once up to temp, it holds steady and shows no signs of anything being abnormal. So far, I love the bike.

Glad to hear that you're diggin' it!
yes: what you're seeing is normal.
The cooling system has about double the capacity of the 998s...
