• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

bad vibrations

2013 ST Limited has a vibration, slight but constant, but only when your on the throttle? When your free wheeling it (letting off the throttle) the vibration is gone... Dealership had it 3 days and thinks its a bad tire or tire is out of balance.. Tried desperately to have them check belt tension or alignment, instead they believe it has something to do with the tires.. In which case the vibration would still be there when you let off the throttle? yes? well its not.. Anyone agree with me?? or is there something im missing here? any help on this issue would be welcome.. In the mean time ill try the other Spyder dealership up the road for their diagnosis...

Agree...

A rolling vibration would still be there with a load or without. If it is speed related then they could be right. Your right on the belt as well but belts are also more subject to speed and harmonics. Where they might check is engine mounts and ignition system. The other thing is where you feel the vibration. In the feet/pegs, in the bars or just all over....:gaah:some are tough to locate like internal engine parts....

VIBES

If this is a NEW thing then I won't suggest it's the BELT, because that's what it sounds like.....and getting the tension down to about 190 lbs using a Kritkit gauge ( on the ground measurement ) should re-move it.......But the TIRE could have had a belt in the TIRE break, but why would the vibes go away when not under power ?????.... Sooo is this NEW.......Mike :bbq:

I have a 2012 RT limited had vibrations bad at around 60. I keep my belt adjusted and it still happened. Found a guy on the internet that sold smooth spyder belt tensioner. The best $250.00 I have ever spent. I wish I would have come up with the idea. I even did not know at lower speed I had a vibrations. I have his web somewhere around
hear. just go to search engine and type in " Smooth spyder belt tension ". I give it FIVE STARS.
