General Altimax tire question

So why do you use the 215-60-R15 instead of the stock size 225-60R-15 tire on the rear?

The General Altimax doesn't come in 225/60/15, but the General Altimax RT 43 in 215/60/15 fits just fine.

Okay folks,
Thanks for your response's and the crux of the matter. Running a General Altima RT 43, 215-60-R15 on the rear. Which makes the speedometer read more correctly. Longer lasting tread wear and the same smooth ride and handling of a 2 ply tire, correct?

Both Peter and I recommend lower PSI's in Auto tires compared to the OEM Kenda REAR tire ..... 17 to 18 psi works best ..... Mike :thumbup:
