^^ So I take it the F3-S they are offering you does NOT have the electronic shift?? But you can get the manual F3-S for the same price they'll sell you the semi-auto base spec F3.... I know that now I've got it I wouldn't be without the semi-auto electronic shift, & my wife wouldn't ride with me or by herself if the Syder didn't have it!! So YES, it does make that much difference!
If what I've outlined above is the case & you reckon your wife will want the semi-auto with the paddles/electronic shift, then why not push for that in whatever deal you end up with?? Tell them that the semi-auto is essential in the sale & that you
would buy the F3-S from them at that price but that the lack of it being a semi-auto is a deal breaker - if they can't do an F3-S with semi-auto at that price you'll hafta go elsewhere with your money & business; only if you do that,
be prepared to go elsewhere! YOU are the only one who gets to choose how much you spend & on what (well, you & your missus!

pps

So if you want an F3-S with semi-auto & that's available from BRP, then tell this dealer that is what you want and how much you are prepared to pay them for it; if they are smart they'll either do that deal for you, or maybe try to sweeten the deal in other ways so they can sell you on something else that will make the deal work for them; but the bottom line is that they hafta convince
you to part with your $$, it's not as if you are
forced to buy from them!! So spell out what's going to work for you & if they can't meet it, you get to decide if you'll spend the additional $$ or accept whatever else they've offered, or you can choose to go elsewhere - & btw, if
they can offer you the F3-S manual at the same price, they've gotta have some leeway with regards to including the semi-auto AND there is very likely another dealer around somewhere who
IS prepared to deal with you just to get the sale!!
You hold the $$ here, so
YOU get to make the choice on how many $$ you are going to part with & for what - and if your wife isn't going to be happy with the manual, then I reckon you'd be silly to go for it.... unless maybe you are planning on her being an EX wife in the near future & you want something to start the process?!
Over to you: your choice, your dollars!
