• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Power steering

My ride is the 2013 STS.
My problem is no power steering. Never has had assistance.
Question: Is the STS suppose to have power steering?

Bob is right on. The PS works when the :ani29: is moving. Hard as a rock to steer when standing still.

If this is not your particular issue, have the dealer give it a look over.

We have not heard many issues with the PS being defective.

My steering effort when Spyder is sitting still is very high, once rolling effort is very easy. My Spyder is a '13 STS.

Yeah..!!

You may have seen it mentioned as the DPS (dynamic power steering ). It is an electric assist and can be felt on occasions when still but mostly when moving. If it stops working you will know it...:(

There is no power steering at any speed. It is quite a workout to ride this trike. However, I love it anyway.

In that case; I would check all of the fuses and relays...
If you don't see something there; take it back to the dealer.
Good Luck; let us know what you find!

I have an 09 phantom and the power steering went out. I like the feel of the road better without it. I have put 24k on the bike since it went out.

stealer wants over 2k to replace it.

gonna keep it just like it is

I too get a good workout when riding. I'm not fond of having to lean into a curve, depending on the curve I'm half way off the seat. Might just go back to a two wheeler...
